Arrival
G'day again,
Like I told youse all, I aim to fill you in on all the exciting things that have happened since my arrival here back in late December. So sit back, put yer feet up, crack a VB and read away ...
Ian and I arrived December 27th from Oz and I can tell youse it was bloody cold!
Anyway, after we settled in and Ian's exchangee left for Tallangatta we did a bit of exploring of the Rocky Mountain National Park. It's just up the road a bit but bugger me if I could find a gum tree anywhere in the place! Ian seemed to enjoy slogging his way through the snow, while I tried to keep my nose from getting frostbitten.
Our travels took us down the canyon to Fort Collins so Ian could get his drivers licence. With a bit of help from me, reminding him to "Stay Right!" he passed with flying colours.
We ventured further afield to Denver to attend an Aussie exchangee's function where I'm afraid Ian overdid it a bit trying to sample every type of beer available in his never-ending quest to find something vaguely like a VB.
Soon it was time for Ian to face reality and go to work at Estes Park Intermediate School. I must admit he did a bloody good job of driving on the snow clogged roads and avoiding the herds of elk.
We survived the first 6 weeks without misshap and in February his better half arrived from Tallangatta which meant we could at last eat a decent meal (you can only eat so many TV dinners, and I could hand over the task of navigator to someone who could read a road map.

G'day and Welcome
G'day eveyone,
After being on the Far Side for almost 6 months (much of it spent in the smelly depths of Ian's backpack) I have finally managed to convince him that I am capable of more than just sleeping and climbing.
So now youse all get to hear and see about all my grouse adventures in Colorado and beyond.
In the next few blogs I aim to "bring you up to speed" as they say over here.
